Class Descriptions

Class Levels: "I would be comfortable in this class if...

Level 1: "...I have little to no yoga experience.

Level 2: "...I am familiar with most asanas and their English names."

Level 3: "...I am learning, or am familiar with, refined alignment and modifications."


Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique is a simple and practical method to change your habits of physical movement in everyday activities. It works by re-educating your mind and body to release unnecessary tension, thereby improving ease and freedom of movement, balance, support and coordination. This technique does not add to the effort required to perform your activities! "Wear" your body more comfortably by learning the Alexander Technique!



Candlelight Yoga

Let go of your work week and move into your weekend with a restorative, restful, and relaxing class.  Each class incorporates a series of gentle asana postures, breathwork, guided meditation and an extended sivasana.  Enjoy it all while being bathed in calming music and soothing candlelight.



EmPOWERment Flow

In EmPOWERment Flow Yoga, this strengthening practice flows seamlessly from one posture to the next. A more fluid progression than used in a standard, traditional hatha yoga practice, this class will invigorate and energize you as you exercise your body, mind and spirit!


Hatha Yoga

In Hatha Yoga, traditional asana (postures) are held in accurate alignment. Emphasis is placed on core strength, flexibility, balance, concentration, and breath awareness. Enjoy an integrated practice of physical postures, deep breathing, mindfulness, and listening to the body.



Take your practice to a whole new level with the incorporation of meditation.  It helps calm the mind, release tension, promotes a higher awareness and increases energy levels.  Each class includes a guided, dynamic practice along with extended periods of deep silence.


Vinyasa Flow

In Vinyasa Flow, practice moves with dynamic fluidity by using vinyasas to seamlessly link posture to posture.  Exploring different postures in each class to keep you in the moment and bring awareness to body and breath.  Be ready to bring yourself to the 'edge' of your practice to use that as a gauge of where you are on your mat today.  



Yoga & Meditation

Explore various dynamic yoga poses, breathing and meditation techniques to help us shift into deeper awareness.  This will lead us to more freedom in our body, mind, and spirit.




Yoga FUNdamentals



Yoga Fundamentals focuses on the basics, breaking yoga down to its key elements to teach you how to build your personal yoga practice from the ground up! This class is sometimes taught in a workshop format, and allows for ample demonstration, discussion and Q&A time with your teacher.


Zen Meditation

Zen Meditation class practices the art of meditation in the Zen style. Meditation involves calming the body and mind to gain insight into your personal nature and the nature of existence. Whether you seek to learn how to meditate and/or appreciate the facilitation that meditating with a group provides, this class welcomes you!
